Frequently Asked Questions
Before your Session
What are your Opening Hours?
Our office Opening Hours are:
Tuesday & Wednesday by Appointment Only
Thursday 1pm - 9pm
Friday & Saturday 9.30 - 5.30pm
How can I find the Studio?
Click the following link to Google Maps for directions
Is there car parking?
Yes there is. There are parking bays outside the studio, if they are full, there is a car park directly opposite at the
CO-OP Supermarket.
How many photos do you take and how long is a session?
We take a substantial amount images during the session
From those images around 30 are selected and prepared
for your slide show for you to make your selection from.
The session lasts one hour - the memories last a lifetime...
What are the best clothes to wear for my session?
Go to what to wear on our gallery page to see some examples.
The clothes you choose are very important - they will have a significant impact
on how your finished portraits will look.
Generally smart casual clothing suits our style of photography best. The best colours
are black, white, blue & cream, which are classic colours and most people have
in their wardrobes.
Some examples of what to wear
Everyone wearing blue jeans with white shirts, white t shirts or blouses
or
Black trousers with black tops or co-ordinating colours
or
Cream Chinos with blue tops.
Examples of what NOT to wear
A family of four people - 3 have black trousers and black tops - and 1 has black trousers and white top, this will spoil the look of the portrait as the person in the white shirt will stand out too much.
When you have chosen your outfits, lay them all out on the bed if one item of clothing
stands out, then that person will stand out in the photograph - so change it.
It is better to have solid colours rather than stripes and fussy motifs.
Will there be anywhere for us to change clothes?
Yes we have a changing room for you - if you wish to bring your outfits with you to change into - and they don't get creased on your travels. We do not recommend that you change outfits during your session, as you will find that possibly you like an expression or pose on a particular photograph, but you prefer the other outfit.
What if someone is ill and I have to cancel?
If someone is ill we still require as much notice as possible. To reschedule for free 7 days notice is required.
Before your Viewing
How long does the viewing last?
A viewing generally lasts about 1 hour.
What should I bring to the viewing?
Please bring your partner and any other family members who may wish to
order from your portraits. As from 1st November 2008 we do not accept payment by cheque,
we do accept payment by credit/debit card or Cash.
Can I pay by credit?
Yes you may. Please speak to our sales staff during your viewing for further details.
Can I bring my children along to the viewing?
We recommend parents not to bring their young children into the viewing room. Young children can get tired and very bored during an hours viewing.
Can I view my images when I come in for my session?
Unfortunately not. We are a very professional studio and finish the images to a very high standard.
Once your images have been taken, they are then colour graded and designed into unique photographic compositions especially for you, and this takes time.
After your Viewing
All our portraits are fully finished and framed. Our highly experienced team of photographers, printers and framers work together as a team to create stunning framed portraits for your home - your portraits will be ready for you to collect in approx 4 -6 weeks.
How long do you keep the images on file for?
The Images you order are kept on file for 6 months, while the rest of the order is kept for 3 months.
